Nebraska trip

As far as I promised to write some posts in English, I'll keep my word and write about last weekend in Nebraska state with my dear host family.

That day I woke up without any plans and was thinking how to do my day full of fun and happiness. We had three days of total rest because of the 1st September's holiday. It was really cool to understand that all my cassmates were studying during I was having rest and fun with my host family and friends. 

In the morning I had two messages from my friends. They were inviting me to go to a Shawny lake and to a cafe. It sounded like a fantastic plan for the last day of summer but my host family decided to go to Nebraska state to celebrate Whitney's birthday and I understood that I really want to go with them and to see one more state here. 

My sister Nastya always says that she is fond of travelling by car,watching in the window changing landscapes. I didn't understand it. I thought that it was so boring and always prefered travelling by planes or at least by trains. But only a week ago I understood how it's amasing and incredible. 

The view from the car's window was so different from Russian's views. A lot of corn fields without final point. Old beautiful houses and bunch of horses and cows. 

We were driving and listening to American funny songs about 3 hours. When our big family went to Lincoln city I was told that we will stay there for a night. I was really shocked because I didn't take anything with me. We went to a motel, left our clothes and went to a super-duper cool restaurant Texas Roadhouse.

We were having a really delishious dinner with bunch of fish, vegetables, pickles, fried potato and cheese. I've met the son of my host mom and his family. They are sooooo nice. We were talking and talking and talking. At the end of the day all people from restaurant claped to Whitney's for her birthday. It was so awsome and cute. 

Next morning we went to go shopping. Soon I'll write a big post about American shopping, I promise!=)

I bought one long sleeves shirt and we went to "lost in fun". My host kids were playing in attractions and I was looking at them. I know them only a month, but I really love them.

Then we went to our home and I've prepared a pie which is called 'sharlotka'
